How to Use

We've redesigned the workspace to make creating floor plans simpler. If you used the old tools, here's exactly where to find each feature now.

Getting started

  1. Click the New button at the top of the left menu to open the creation dialog.
  2. Pick AI Creation to generate or edit with AI, or Manual Design to draw, design, or import.
  3. All your past work lives under Projects, filterable by category.

What can you build?

FloorPlan supports two end-to-end workflows. Pick whichever fits how you like to work — both take you from a blank canvas to shareable, professional results.

AI Workflow

Let AI do the heavy lifting — from idea to finished visuals.

  1. Step 1
    Generate a floor plan

    Describe the home or space you want in plain text and let AI create a floor plan for you.

  2. Step 2
    Edit the floor plan

    Refine the layout with AI — adjust rooms, walls, and dimensions until it's right.

  3. Step 3
    Visualize the result

    Render any room to see a photorealistic preview of how it looks after decoration. Direct floor-plan-to-render conversion is in progress and launching soon.

Manual Workflow

Stay in full control — draw it yourself and take it anywhere.

  1. Step 1
    Draw your floor plan

    Start your floor plan in whichever way suits you: upload a background image and trace over it from scratch, pick a template and edit it directly, or upload an existing floor plan and let AI recognize and convert it into a fully editable plan (coming soon).

  2. Step 2
    Export an image for AI

    Export your drawing as an image and feed it back to AI to keep refining the design.

  3. Step 3
    Export DXF to CAD

    Export to DXF and continue editing in your favorite CAD software with full precision.

  4. Step 4 Coming soon
    Convert to 3D

    Turn your floor plan into an interactive 3D model. This capability is in progress and launching soon.

Each tool from the previous version now maps to a feature in the new workspace.
